Join us in celebrating Juneteenth!

Deltona will host several Juneteenth events, and we invite you to be part of the celebration at the Deltona City Hall Courtyard on June 21, 2025. Come together with the community as we honor this important moment in American history.

Juneteenth, observed annually on June 19, commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. It marks the day in 1865 when Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, and informed the last enslaved African Americans of their freedom—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued.

Juneteenth stands as both a celebration of freedom and a powerful reminder of the continued fight for racial justice and equality in our nation.
